Description
The Ag Expo Generalist will act as the primary point of contact for the Facility. They will handle administrative tasks, light accounting as well as setting up and taking down rooms/events. This position reports to the Ag Expo Assistant Director. This position is located in Watford City, ND and scheduled for Monday – Friday, as well as hours in the evening and on the weekends as events commence. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Process, tracks, and/or maintains a variety of records, cash/.check transactions, logs, budget records, and files; files documents as needed.
- Researches and resolves a variety of difficult problems independently through the review of multiple records.
- Coordinates with custodian and maintenance staff to ensure office supplies, toiletries, etc. are in stock for regular and high traffic times.
- Coordinates with ATM providers to ensure proper monetary stocking for devices in building for events.
- Attends regular meetings with event staff to ensure events are adequately staffed and equipped, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assists Event Coordinators as needed to process payments and maintain records for events.
- Collaborates closely with the Assistant Director to coordinate event staffing and oversee and guide staff as necessary. Facilitates smooth transitions between events and activities.
- Address inquiries and concerns about events and the facility, and stay informed about upcoming events
- Serve as the contact for POS systems, and manage records and reports for sales
- Assists in set up/tear down of events as needed; occasionally run heavy equipment
- Other duties as assigned for business need.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License
- 2 years administrative/accounting experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in Watford City, ND daily.
- Ability to work in large groups or crowded environments
- Demonstrate professional communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of computers, computer programs, scanning equipment and various other office machines.
- Must be self motivated-goal oriented, and able to work efficiently under pressure or tight schedules
- Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone.
- Ability to handle exposure to loud noises and extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, kneel, stop, sit, walk extensively
