The AEM Asset Manager - Consultant is responsible for the preservation, organization, and accessibility of digital assets within a dynamic environment. This role involves managing the digital asset library, ensuring adherence to folder structures, filename conventions, metadata standards, digital rights management (DRM), and compliance with ADA regulations. The consultant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the organization, accessibility, and distribution of content across various channels. Additionally, the role supports internal stakeholders in effectively utilizing digital asset management (DAM) systems and best practices.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a comprehensive digital asset library containing a high volume of digital files, ensuring effective growth and maintenance.
  • Devise and implement scalable strategies to ensure content is readily available for multi-channel distribution while adhering to industry best practices.
  • Create metadata models/schemas, taxonomy namespaces, and search schemas to enhance asset discoverability.
  • Develop processes for asset management throughout the entire digital asset lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with User Experience, Web, and IT teams to design and implement innovative solutions that guarantee proper asset rendering.
  • Perform lifecycle maintenance on digital assets, including archiving and managing asset expiration.
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of metadata standards and practices.
  • Establish cataloging processes and workflows for intake, description, management/maintenance, approval/usage, and renewal of digital assets.
  • Oversee current and future storage, distribution, and tracking solutions/systems for digital assets.
  • Conduct regular quality-control checks and audits for content accuracy and data integrity in systems.
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on digital assets, usage rights management, and maintain assets accordingly.
  • Create internal guidelines, materials, and training resources on systems and processes for team members.
  • Perform ongoing data entry tasks and system hygiene duties to maintain data quality.
  • Maintain close collaboration with the AEM Manager, MarTech, and Marketing Operations to align strategies and practices effectively.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Graphics or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years’ experience with large-scale DAM platforms; Adobe Experience Manager Professional Developer (Assets) Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating new DAM processes and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of DAM principles, ADA compliance, metadata taxonomy, and related concepts.
  • Familiarity with common creative production processes and various file formats.
  • Proven expertise in digital rights management practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Adept analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to leverage data for decision-making and improvements.
  • Able to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities with a focus on cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Able to make informed decisions while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Detail-oriented approach with consideration for both macro-level strategy and micro-level execution in asset management.
