What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Account Manager position at McKinley Marketing Partners?
Our interior design firm client is looking for a lead account manager to join their team. This person will support the sales cycle and guide clients in the benefits and costs of their interior design services. The right candidate will feel confident in their sales communication and listening skills and attention while juggling a lot of details.
This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be able to commute to their headquarters in D.C. 3 days per week. Please note that during the initial training period, candidates will have to go into the office 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Sales outreach to prospective clients and managing inbound sales channels for immediate follow-up
- Conduct regular check-ins with clients to assess satisfaction, gather feedback, and proactively address any concerns to maintain long-term partnerships
- Display confidence in promoting psychological & developmental benefits to products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers
- Ensure customers get access to the information and resources they need at the right stage in their buying cycle
- Smooth transitions with design departments after the contract is signed
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to convert leads into clients
- Collaborate with senior management to define and implement sales strategies that align with company objectives
- Make data-driven decisions to improve performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in customer service, account management, and client services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide clients to their best solutions
- Analytical mindset and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with developmental psychology & learning products a plus
