Our executive search firm client is seeking a senior manager of internal communications to join their team. The senior manager is responsible for operational management of firmwide internal communications, including channel management, and effectively communicating change. The ideal candidate is a stellar communicator with a proven track record of building and executing communication plans from start to finish, through thoughtful and creative approaches.
This position operations on a hybrid schedule. Candidates must be able to be onsite 3 days per week to one of the following office locations: Chicago, NY, DC, and Boston.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of global internal communications, leading communications planning and creative execution to communicate effectively, including contributing to the planning and execution of global town hall meetings, communications for internal events, and leading global internal channels such as the Intranet, newsletters, Slack updates and weekly office meeting materials
- Develop and execute global and targeted internal communications that explain change and inspire adoption
- Source, write and manage a calendar of stories about important business wins, critical initiatives and quality delivery, highlighting colleagues around the world
- Provide creative guidance and deliver engaging, illustrative communications materials and presentations
- Partner with the People team to plan, create and deliver communications for new consultant arrivals, and departures, as well as key initiatives
- Work collaboratively with members of the Senior Leadership Team to support the firm’s overall strategy and agenda
- Measure the impact and effectiveness of internal communications to advise on short-term and long-term improvements
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing/Communications/Journalism or related field, or commensurate experience
- Eight to fifteen years of work experience in corporate or internal communications
- Proven track record for developing and executing strategic communications plans
- Experience creating multimedia communications assets (such as video, graphics and newsletters) preferred
- Experience managing contractors, agencies and/or staff is a plus
