McLain Site Solutions, Inc. is looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to run heavy machines including, but not limited to, loaders, excavators, track hoes, dozers, scrapers, skid steers, rollers, compactors, front end loaders, graders, and backhoes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Safe operation of heavy equipment
- Handling and/or moving material
- Knowledge of the excavator/backhoe loading requirements; load charts; critical picks
- Excavate trenches on grade
- Proper backfill procedures around pipe to maintain ovality and to achieve compaction
- Rig, lift, swing and set precast structures and pipe materials
- Safely and efficiently move excavator around the jobsite
Technical Knowledge:
- Effective communication skills
- Identify, report and correct hazards
- Ability to use the controls to effectively operate the excavator/backhoe
- Understands and watches machine control, gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure the machine is working properly.
- Rigging and hoisting
- Safe trenching
Training and Experience:
- 3 years of excavator / trackhoe / backhoe operation experience required
- Experience excavating for and installing large pipe for underground utilities including water, storm, and sewer required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Punctual and Reliable
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of minimum experience running heavy machinery such as , Track hoe, Backhoe, Skid steer, Dozers, Loaders, Rollers, etc.
- Pass Background, Driving Record check, and E-Verify. ( Some work is on Blount Island)
Compensation: Competitive and Negotiable, based on experience.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
