What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spiritual and Bereavement Counselor position at McLean Affiliates?
Provides spiritual assessments as well as bereavement risk assessments and interventions to hospice patients and families receiving services under McLean’s hospice program Identifies any issues or needs indicating a need to alter the plan of care and communicates this to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Provides or coordinates bereavement support post death to caregivers/groups in accordance with McLean policies and procedures. Per diem hours
Graduate of accredited seminary school of theology or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry, or graduate degree in theology/counseling. Professional training in Pastoral Care. Clinical pastoral education in Health Care is preferred.

Prefer five years of varied work experience in pastoral care, preferably in a home care or hospice setting.
