Event Sales Manager

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Sales Manager to lead our event and catering operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and account management, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. As the Event Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event and catering services, from client consultations to event execution, ensuring that each event is a memorable experience for our clients.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Develop and implement event sales strategies to achieve business objectives and increase revenue.
• Manage client relationships through effective account management and upselling opportunities.
• Conduct outside sales efforts to generate leads and expand the client base with Director of Sales.
• Collaborate with clients to create customized event details that meet their needs and preferences.
• Coordinate logistics for events, including staffing, equipment, and food preparation.
• Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage leads, and report on performance metrics.
• Work with Marketing team on maximizing exposure to private event clientele.
• Provide training and support to service staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Maintain strong communication with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items.
• Ensures all documents produced by the Sales Department (BEO’s, contracts, proposals, etc.) are completed on accurately and on time.
• Attends business, community, and civic affair events in the local area with the Director of Sales & General Manager.
• Works with operations team to greet group events, may include nights and weekends.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to remain competitive in the market.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in private event sales, catering sales, event management or a related field, with a strong focus on sales and business development.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with technical sales processes and account management practices.
• Familiarity with Delphi FDC, Salesforce, or similar CRM software is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
• A proactive approach to lead generation and building client relationships.
