DIVE INTO YOUR DAY
This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week. You'll also need the flexibility to travel regularly throughout your assigned territory.
As our Commercial HVAC Estimator - Sales Rep, your role is crucial in designing, estimating, and executing HVAC projects, including remodels, retrofits, and new construction. A typical day might start with conducting a customer needs assessment, where you use your expertise to craft tailored proposals and estimates. You'll build strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration. Whether it's attending pre-bid meetings or navigating post-construction evaluations, you'll drive project success with precision and innovation. Alongside managing resources and schedules, you'll identify opportunities for growth, all while exceeding sales and gross margin targets. Your work will not only support project completion but also create meaningful, lasting impacts for both the company and our customers!
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
- Experience performing detailed take-offs from drawings
- Extensive building systems knowledge, including electrical, plumbing, piping, duct work, and installation
- Knowledge of commercial building codes for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical
- Knowledge of the construction process (RFI, RFP, change orders, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and estimating software
- Ability to read and understand drawings, prepare RFPs, solicit subcontractors, and price material and equipment
- Ability to work with general contractors, architects, and engineers on design-build projects, which include budgeting and pricing
- Ability to influence customer's key decision-makers
- Flexibility to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of direct sales experience in commercial HVAC
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR a master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
