At McNorton Mechanical , we're seeking a talented Commercial HVAC Sales Rep - Estimator to join our growing team full-time . With us, you'll earn a competitive base salary of $52,000 per year , plus a 5% commission on all sales allowing you to earn up to $150,000 per year with commission. YOUR ROLE

This full-time position works 40 hours per week and travels regularly throughout the assigned territory.

As our Commercial HVAC Sales Rep - Estimator, you'll be the cornerstone of our project success. Each day, you'll oversee a variety of tasks, from estimating needs for remodels, retrofits, and new construction to crafting sales proposals and managing budgets. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers, collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. Your role involves conducting customer needs assessments, utilizing sales tools to identify opportunities, and participating in pre-bid and post-construction meetings. You'll also be instrumental in design-build projects, navigating everything from RFIs to change orders. Every project you touch will reflect your expertise and dedication to delivering excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

  • Experience performing detailed take-offs from drawings
  • Extensive building systems knowledge, including electrical, plumbing, piping, duct work, and installation
  • Knowledge of commercial building codes for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical
  • Knowledge of the construction process (RFI, RFP, change orders, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and estimating software
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, prepare RFPs, solicit subcontractors, and price material and equipment
  • Ability to work with general contractors, architects, and engineers on design-build projects, which include budgeting and pricing
  • Ability to influence customer's key decision-makers
  • Flexibility to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2 years of direct sales experience in commercial HVAC
  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR a master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
