The Office of the Registrar is seeking an Associate Registrar of Registration and Scheduling Services to oversee the development of the course offerings schedule across all semesters and campuses. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive reviews of curriculum blocks and room availability to optimize classroom usage and support programs and cohorts. The Associate Registrar will identify potential gaps in course offerings and electives, providing solution-oriented recommendations to resolve discrepancies and conflicts in collaboration with the University Registrar, Deans, and Provost. Additionally, this role will manage the new student matriculation process, working closely with Admissions and the Associate Registrar for Curriculum Management to ensure accurate degree audits and catalog year assignments.

  • Develop, schedule, and manage the course offerings for all terms and campuses.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and integrity for all course and academic event information in the student information and scheduling systems.
  • Collaborate with deans and designees to develop and maintain course blocks and clusters to facilitate block registration for all terms.
  • Conduct comprehensive review of curriculum blocks and room availability ensuring efficient classroom use and proper support for all programs, cohorts, and departmental needs/preferences including classroom resources and specific faculty requests.
  • Manage classroom assignments, using AdAstra and Colleague SIS, to schedule course sections appropriately.
  • Provide data-driven guidance on classroom scheduling policies and procedures, and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Make recommendations to the University Registrar regarding classroom discrepancies, conflicts, double bookings, etc. with a focus on physical resources that could warrant facility upgrades and seating capacity adjustments.
  • Oversee registration checks/balances, including managing the multiple attempts and prerequisite drop process in collaboration with the CASE Office to ensure student registration data integrity.
  • Coordinate the development of the final examination schedules for all terms.
  • Manage the new student matriculation process, working with Admissions and the Associate Registrar for Curriculum Management to ensure accurate degree audits and catalog year assignments.
  • Oversee the processing of all enrollment forms related to Veteran's benefit administration for all campuses.
  • Work with the Office of the Registrar leadership team to set departmental objectives, goals, priorities, and both short-and-long range plans for operations.
  • Represent the Registrar's Office on official university committees as needed.
  • Contribute to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Perform other work as directed by Senior Associate Registrar and/or University Registrar.
  • May require occasional travel to university campuses in Manchester, NH and Worcester, MA.
Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of administrative experience in higher education setting; preferably in a registrar, financial aid, admissions or advising office
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to compose clear documentation
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and perform well under pressure
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to understand and analyze data; recognize anomalies and interpret legal requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

Preferred:

  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Experience using Ellucian Colleague, AdAstra Scheduling, Hyland OnBase Document Imaging
  • Experience creating department goals to meet the strategic plan of the department
