AR Specialist

Job Summary: The AR Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant with day-to-day accounts receivable functions.

Pay for this Role: $18.00 - $20.00 depending on experience.

• Assist OSRs and store managers with AR questions by phone, email, or in person.
• Process incoming payments and post to accounts.
• Post payments to accounts that are stored in the Browser.
• Post store use invoices.
• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed.
• Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses.
• Update client accounts based on payment or contact information.
• Assist customers with questions or payments by phone and in person.
• Review credit applications from customers and set up new accounts.
• Set up new sub-job accounts as requested by customers and OSRs.
• Send reminder letters on past due accounts and/or contact customers for payments.
• Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans.
• Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year or more of relative experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes and develop remediation strategies for permanent resolutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to recommend changes to drive business objectives.
• Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, making clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Skilled with computers and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to demonstrate a friendly outgoing personality and interact with others.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Skilled in or ability to learn 10-key.
