Description :
The Dietary Manager is responsible for supervising dietary staff in order to provide quality food to patients, employees and visitors of Artesian Valley Health System that is nutritionally adequate and properly prepared in an attractive manner and served in pleasant surroundings.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to :
- Direct and Supervise hospital dietary personnel in planning, preparing, and serving food to patients, staff and visitors.
- Develop and implement work standards, sanitation procedures and hygiene requirements consistent with intuitional rules : local, state and federal regulations.
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas, equipment and storage facilities.
- Observe the appearance and personal habits of the staff to detect deviation and violation of current health regulations and orders corrective measures as necessary.
- Complete employee evaluations, training, supervising and disciplining of dietary employees.
- Prepare work schedules for dietary employees.
- Consult with consulting Dietician on needs of the department.
