Description
Oversight of the Nutrition Services Department managing daily food operations to ensure quality. Responsible for food service purchasing, ordering supplies and procuring/maintenance of equipment. Ensures sanitary conditions are maintained and regulatory requirements for hospital licensure are met. Provides staff supervision, training and recruitment. Directly participates in the preparation and serving of meals. Apply nutrition principles to ensure prepared meals meet nutrition and therapeutic diets that are prescribed for patients as well as menu creation for the café. Provides patient education and documents nutrition information in the electronic medical record.
