What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Events Manager position at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland?

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities and Duties :

Support the planning and implementation of MOWCM's Night of Million Meals, third-party fundraisers, and community engagement events, including supporting the Silent Auction Volunteer committee and vendor outreach.
Support the progressive development of the Night of Million Meals event by staying abreast of industry trends and researching new ways to attract attendees and vendors.
Act as a project lead for MOWCM's community outreach planning.
Support third-party fundraisers with pre-promotion and event logistics assistance.
Develop timelines and recommend assignments for MOWCM's publications and creative briefs.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Exceptional organizational and time management skills

2-3 years event planning experience, fundraising event planning experience is a bonus.

Ability to effectively interface with senior management, staff members, volunteers MOWCM's Board of Directors and other external audiences.

Proficient proofreading and editing experience with a variety of print and online communications.

Demonstrated skills in managing technical set-up for presentations, media, and virtual & in-person events.

Familiarity with Wordpress, a plus.

Excellent judgment and creative critical thinking skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to effectively work in a changing environment to anticipate future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the communications or public relations fields, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing
