Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico is seeking a Full-Time Medical Records Clerk. This position organizes, files, and legally releases patient electronic medical records to ensure minimal errors, legal compliance, and excellent patient medical record care in a timely manner. A Medical Records Clerk must be a fast-paced worker, able to handle patient calls, requests, and referrals quickly and sufficiently.
Candidates must have record keeping experience and/or electronic medical record systems experience. A successful candidate will have the ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task, and be self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
- Send referrals
- Retrieve and distribute messages
- Scan paper medical records into EMR accurately and timely
- Request and release patient medical records
- Manage death certificates, oxygen orders, and CGM reports
- Retrieve finalized Holter, Ultrasound, Echo, and AWV reports
- Provide forms for Billing, Vaccine Consents, and Invoices
- Accept critical direct telephone calls and encrypted emails
- Interface reconciliation for labs and radiography
- Understand and comply with HIPAA laws and MANNM Policy for Patient Privacy

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
