Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This hybrid role supports both the administrative and outreach sides of the clinic. The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, detail-oriented, and excited about helping people access holistic care options. No prior cannabis knowledge is required — we provide full training.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Patient Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service
- Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment reminders via phone, text, or email
- Handle phone systems, patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations during all patient interactions
- Enter and maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems (e.g., IntakeQ or similar)
- Assist in the preparation and management of patient care plans and documentation
- Support day-to-day clinic operations including filing, data entry, and patient file management
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
Outreach & Marketing Support:
- Participate in local marketing events and community outreach efforts
- Represent MediCan US at educational sessions or public-facing events
- Support the planning and logistics of promotional activities
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a professional, friendly demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with scheduling software, EHR platforms, and basic tech tools
- Willingness to learn and grow within the medical cannabis space
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or customer service role
- Experience with IntakeQ or similar EHR software
- Experience with Ring Central, Dialpad or similar software
- Working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy regulations
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
