What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Inventory Technician position at MedScript LTC Pharmacy?
MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Inventory & Purchasing Department. The Pharmacy Inventory Specialist performs a wide variety of technical, physical and analytical functions within our department including department management, inventory organization, and execution and analysis of purchasing supplies and medications. The successful candidate will be able to work well in teams and in a fast-paced environment with sound analytical understanding.
Available shift:
- Mon - Fri (11:30am-8pm) with rotating weekends.
This position qualifies for a $2,000 sign-on bonus!
Responsibilities include:
· Assist with daily purchasing of medication and supply orders based off of data and analytics
· Assist with conducting monthly financial inventories on a monthly basis
· Maintaining and improving inventory floor lay out and organization
· Assist with accurate cycle counts and keeping accurate on hand inventory data into Frameworks
· Receive and stock orders as they come into the pharmacy
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Experience using pharmacy software and other computer programs such as Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- Ability to follow direction and prioritize tasks
- Problem solver
- Strong math skills
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as necessary
- Ability to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Two years of pharmacy technician experience required, preferably in a long term care setting
- Pharmacy Technician license required
