RISK AND SAFETY LEADER - SKILLED TRADES STAFFING - VIRTUAL
7-10 years staffing industry experience required - leading risk, compliance and safety for a $100m staffing firm.
Our client, the nation's leading provider of manufacturing workforce solutions, is a growing fast-paced entrepreneurial company. Looking for their next Risk & Safety Leader, to drive innovation and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company’s operational and strategic risk as well as drive a culture of safety.
What You Will Do
- Evaluate client job descriptions, facilities, loss histories, safety programs and practices to establish project pricing along with appropriate screening and training for Technicians on assignment at client worksites.
- Work with operations and safety teams, brokers, carriers, etc. to design and implement policies and programs to appropriately control risks and proactively manage work comp claims to minimize costs in a high deductible program.
- Work with TPA to determine proper and adequate claim reserve requirements.
- Establish and maintain an effective return to work program for injured employees.
- Develop and distribute reports to multiple audiences to communicate claims volume, severity and cost trends in order to review and to promote loss mitigation and control efforts.
- Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization.
- Develop and implement safety training programs, ensuring documentation is up to date and meets organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for all OSHA compliance and reporting.

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management, or other field of study related to the risk management profession.
- Minimum of five years of progressive safety and risk management experience, including a solid understanding of claims management processes.
- Proven experience effectively managing work comp claims in a high deductible program.
- Ability to effectively identify issues, research and analyze complex matters.
- Ability to work effectively with management, think conceptually, and interact with others using strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
- Makes sound and reasoned decisions, offers practical advice and makes well-reasoned recommendations to relevant decision makers throughout organization.
- Ability to travel as needed (sometimes on short notice) for site assessments, safety training, etc.
