GROUNDSKEEPER
12 Month Position
Position Summary:
Responsible for safely maintaining and ensuring the beauty of the District grounds and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2-5 years of job-related experience preferred
- Commercial Driver’s License preferred
- Requires completion of Asbestos Awareness Program
Essential Job Functions:
- Safely maintains and ensures the beauty of the grounds including cutting grass, controlling weeds, trimming landscaping and caring for plants, trees and shrubs
- Hauls dirt, sand, gravel and mulch
- Operates, repairs and maintains grounds maintenance equipment and ensures its safety
- Moves heavy objects and equipment
- Installs, replaces and repairs fences
- Prepares athletic fields for sporting events
- Removes snow and ice from parking areas and entrances before, during and after school hours
- Serves as substitute custodian as needed
- Performs other related duties as required
COMPENSATION FOR EXPERIENCE IS CONSIDERED, 2024-2025 Classified Salary Schedule
