About the role:

MELT Ice Creams is seeking a Marketing Director to join our team. This position is responsible for developing and executing all company marketing strategies. The role involves managing all marketing functions, annual planning strategies, creating digital content, overseeing all digital campaigns, in-store campaigns, and merchandise as well as leading a team of contract employees. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work to create engaging content and develop strategies that will drive sales and increase store revenue. You will help us connect with our customers to grow and build loyalty to our brand. The ideal candidate should have 3 years of marketing experience, strong digital marketing skills, and a passion for ice cream! What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligning with the company's objectives.
  • Manage all marketing functions for the company.
  • Identify ways to grow sales through marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contract employees, interns, and outsourced projects at agencies.
  • Develop and execute all digital content, marketing campaigns, including email marketing, in-shop assets, and social media.
  • Create and manage content marketing and PR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop integrated marketing campaigns across all functions.
  • Enhance brand awareness and loyalty through branded merchandise sold in-store and online. Manage retail products from idea to creation and from sales reporting to inventory management.
  • Strategize and develop opportunities for in-shop visuals
  • Manage and distribute monthly internal newsletter
  • Proactively manage customer relationships online
  • Proactively managing ongoing promotions and sales
  • Develop repeatable systems department wide to empower our teams and allow for sustainable growth
  • Annual Marketing Audit including but not limited to budget, digital tools, brand identity, and voice
  • Lead Annual Planning for the Marketing Department from strategy ideas, strategy planning and initiatives, to implementation, and progress tracking

  • Ability to communicate and set clear expectations
  • Ability to create from scratch and revise standard operating procedures
  • Flexibility to prioritize multiple tasks and projects with a sense of urgency
  • Proactively remove roadblocks before they become problems
  • Ability to leverage digital tools and softwares to streamline day-to-day functions and on going responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate will have basic skills in photo editing, basic graphic design knowledge through Canva or another editing tool, strong organizational skills, the ability to follow established processes, professionalism in working with others, the ability to work independently on projects, proficiency in social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, can-do attitude, and passion for ice cream.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Marketing, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience managing a team

MELT has four scoop shops, a commissary kitchen named the Joy Factory, a catering team and wholesale presence in DFW and throughout Texas.
