Job Description

MENCK are currently recruiting for an Offshore Service Technician on a full time, permanent basis, based in Scotland/Aberdeen. The successful candidate will attend worldwide service calls for the support, maintenance and installation of equipment.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • The commissioning, repair, maintenance and operation of/on MENCK, other Acteon Group Company and our customer's equipment
  • Briefing of Service Technicians into new equipment, instruction of these on common jobs
  • Coordination of teams of local technicians during commissioning, repair or maintenance
  • Pile driving with MENCK and customer equipment alone or supported by a team of other technicians
  • Training of our international customers on our systems worldwide on site and in the factory
  • Processing of new equipment installations as well as maintenance and repair orders
  • Troubleshoot machinery (mechanical and electrical) failure or breakdown and to perform remedial action while referring to equipment manuals on site


Required

  • Successfully completed apprenticeship as technician, supervisor, mechanic, electrician or comparable
  • Proof of eligibility for working with electronic electricity, with pressure bodies, hydraulic systems and on disconnected systems
  • Practical experience in hydraulics, mechanics and electrical engineering
  • Ability to read drawings, R&I flowcharts, circuit diagrams, hydraulic diagrams and flow charts
  • Ability to read and understand manuals and understand safety notes (pictograms) in particular
  • Operation of common work equipment: Impact wrench; pumps; compressor; hand tools
  • Safe handling of common HSE tools: JSA; TBT protocol; Operation instructions; safety data sheet
  • Experience abroad and willingness to accept international travel activities and offshore jobs
  • Good command of spoken and written English
