Job Title: Assistant Manager, Cultivation Operations

We are a leading cannabis producer in Oregon, known for crafting premium cannabis with a focus on quality and sustainability. To support our growth, we're looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to oversee and support our dedicated team of Gardeners. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership abilities, cultivation knowledge, attention to detail and a passion for developing talent and optimizing operational efficiency.

Position Overview:
As the Assistant Manager of Cultivation Operations, you will supervise the day-to-day activities of our gardening team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, quality standards are upheld, and compliance is maintained across the facility. Working closely with the Garden Manager, you’ll help cultivate a productive, positive work environment and drive continuous improvements in our cultivation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of Gardeners, providing clear direction, support, and feedback. Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
  • Scheduling and Task Management: Coordinate daily and weekly schedules to ensure efficient coverage for plant inspections, nutrient adjustments, and all green-work tasks.
  • Training and Development: Support ongoing training initiatives, introducing new techniques and best practices to enhance the team's skills.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all cultivation activities, from pruning and pest management to harvest, are conducted according to quality and safety standards.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor cultivation spaces to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant environment.
  • Record Management: Oversee meticulous record-keeping for plant health, growth stages, and environmental factors, ensuring all data is accurate and accessible.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all OLCC and state regulations, serving as a point of contact for audits and inspections.
  • Problem Solving and Support: Act as the team’s go-to person for troubleshooting issues, from equipment malfunctions to pest concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the cannabis industry or a related agricultural field.
  • Licenses: OLCC Marijuana Handler’s Permit, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
  • Cultivation Knowledge: Proficiency in cannabis cultivation techniques, nutrient management, pest control, and grow room operations.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage a team, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in both hands-on work and administrative tasks.
  • Problem Solving: Resourceful and proactive in addressing challenges, with a "fix-it" mentality that adds value to day-to-day operations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
