Mercedes-Benz of Northern Arizona is hiring an Assistant Controller / Office Manager. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of Office Manager / Assistant Controller experience working in a retail automotive setting.
The Assistant Controller / Office Manager will be assisting in the management of the financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, implementing financial controls, and providing strategic recommendations to improve profitability. The Assistant Controller / Office Manager will work hand-in-hand with the GM and Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Help oversee all financial operations of the dealership, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory
- Working with the Controller, manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Develop and implement financial controls to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas of improvement and provide strategic recommendations to increase profitability
- Work closely with other departments to ensure operational and financial goals are aligned
- Manage and safeguard the stores’ assets and ensure that internal controls are in place.
- Develop and maintain an effective cash management system.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Controller
- Complete statistical data memo forms for manufacture financial statements
- Provide support in payroll processing
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive accounting office
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in dealership accounting software (CDK) is preferred
- Vehicle title work experience is strongly desired
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work additional hours as needed mid-month and month-end to complete payroll and month-end close
