Responsibilities:
- Identify, shape, and develop initial win strategies for missile, guided munition, and expendable business opportunities. Service large current and generate significant additional pipeline growth over a 2–5-year horizon.
- Collaborate across Capture, Proposal, Sales, Program Management, Engineering, and Advanced Concepts groups to form teams that develop and execute strategies that win new business.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of assigned market (existing/upcoming Programs of Record, industry landscape, military threats, and related technology trends) and use that knowledge to generate and shape market strategies.
- Have and expand key, trusted relationships with prime contractors at multiple levels (technical, program, acquisition) and USG requirements and acquisition professionals; be able to open doors and have critical conversations.
- Analyze prime level, offerings, and behaviors
- Manage comprehensive understanding of Mercury’s PGM&E offerings and position and based on knowledge of market, competitor behavior, and “voice of customer,” recommend investments/New Product Introductions (NPIs) to drive significant growth.
- Lead relevant tradeshow strategy, in collaboration with Tradeshow, Marketing and Product management functions to ensure maximum return on investment for each event.
- Assemble, lead, and grow integrated and high-performing teams. Mentor other growth team and functional team members.
- Typically requires 10 years in multiple relevant disciplines including the USG end-user, requirements or acquisition communities or defense industry roles such as Business Development, Engineering, Program Management, Strategy or Sales in the aerospace and defense industry
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience): STEM or Business Degree
- Experience leading integrated teams with shared equity and accountability for the results
- Experience of both traditional defense acquisition processes and systems along with newer rapid acquisition, other transaction authorities, commercial solutions offerings.
- Experience with missiles & precision guided munition technologies
- Proven track record on development and execution of capture plans
- Ability to travel up to 50% as required to meet with customers, attend trade shows and key internal face to face meetings
- Experience of US Export control procedures and restrictions to include ITAR and Depart of Commerce regulations.
- This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
- Location: Hudson, NH
- Active Secret clearance
- Direct experience in government or supporting contractor roles regarding weapons or expendable requirements and acquisitions
