What Is This Job All About?
Source and Recruit Candidates: Identify, screen, and recruit qualified candidates for a wide range of healthcare roles, including clinical (physicians, nurses, allied health) and non-clinical (administrative staff, support services).
Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, craft tailored recruitment strategies, and provide ongoing support throughout the recruitment process.
Attract Top Talent: Utilize various sourcing channels including job boards, social media, professional networks, and direct outreach to attract high-quality candidates.
Manage Full Recruitment Cycle: Oversee the recruitment process from initial contact, interviews, and candidate assessments, to job offer negotiations and placement.
Conduct Interviews: Facilitate phone and in-person interviews, assess candidates qualifications, and present a shortlist of top candidates to hiring managers.
Ensure Compliance: Administer background checks, reference checks, and any necessary testing to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards.
Applicant Tracking & Reporting: Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), track sourcing metrics, and ensure data is accurately maintained to support continuous improvement efforts.
Represent Mercy at Recruitment Events: Attend career fairs, conferences, and networking events to raise the organization's profile and attract healthcare talent.
Promote Mission & Values: Act as an ambassador for Mercy Community Healthcare by promoting the organizations mission, values, and culture to prospective candidates.
Monitor Recruitment Metrics: Track key recruitment metrics and report on progress to HR leadership, providing data-driven insights for decision-making.
Participate in the Employee Life Cycle: Support HR initiatives and programs throughout the employee life cycle, including onboarding, employee engagement, retention, and succession planning, to ensure a seamless experience from hire to tenure.
What We Need from You:
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in healthcare recruiting or talent acquisition.
Proven ability to recruit for a range of healthcare positions, including clinical and non-clinical roles.
Strong knowledge of healthcare industry trends, roles, and licensure requirements.
Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
Paycom ATS experience is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates alike, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience recruiting for specialized healthcare roles (e.g., nursing, physicians, allied health professionals).
Familiarity with HRIS systems and recruiting platforms (e.g., Paycom ATS).
Professional certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
