Principal Duties and Responsibilities
. Support the mission, vision and values of Mercy High School
. Serve as an advisor on all financial matters affecting the school. Provides analysis, insight and
recommendations to the President, Finance Committee and Board of Trustees on financial and
budget details.
. Annually submits all financial records for review, and coordinates the audit process
. Coordinates the annual budget process and monitors expenditures
. Manages daily cashflow and maintains adequate controls and safeguards to protect school funds
. Prepares monthly financial statements for review by the Board and Finance Committee
. Responsible for accounts payable, payroll, tuition collection and oversees the maintenance and
technology departments
. Communicates with banks, school employees, parents and other groups as needed
. Administer and maintain all insurance functions for the school, including business and employee
medical insurance
. Assists in development and ongoing support for long range planning
. Performs other duties as assigned by the President
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
. Knowledge of accepted accounting principles, procedures and financial reporting
. Progressive thinking in the areas of business management
. Extensive technical skills in budgeting and monitoring a multi-million dollar annual budget
. Experience with Microsoft Office, Blackbaud accounting software and FACTS tuition management
preferred
. Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Education and Experience
. Bachelor's Degree in accounting with 5 years experience preferred
. Fiscal management and accounting in a school setting preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
