What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Support Engineer position at Merge IT?
Our enterprise-level client in Greer, SC, has an immediate need to add an IT Support Engineer to the team. Please see below for full details--
Job Notes:
--6 month contract / extendable and perm possible with good performance.
--Onsite in Greer, SC, with some work at a facility in Spartanburg, SC.
--Drug & Background required.
--Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)
Pay Rate = $24-25 w2 per hour depending on experience-level.
From the client--
• Scheduling PC device replacements, returns and new deployments using an asset management system. Assist with PC asset management duties
• Knowledge of Asset Management software and/or Inventory-Tracking systems.
• Knowledge of processes and disposal of unused and/or broken IT equipment.
• Knowledge of asset management lifecycle practices for Information Technology and operational policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
• Perform a range of technical work activities either remotely or at customer site to meet business and customer requirements.
• Coordinate small teams delivering basic work packages in line with company process to meet business and customer requirements.
• Document and reports on work completed to ensure compliance with Company and Customer Procedures.
• Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are met and evaluate escalations and action appropriately to ensure customer demands are met.
• Provide customer service to internal and external customers to ensure consistent experience.
• Ability to adapt quickly to dynamic team environments to maintain consistent effective contribution.
The Ideal Candidate
• Able to follow instructions and procedures
• Proven experience in IT Desktop Service environment.
• Uses information systems, technology functions and applications in line with IT industry standards as appropriate to the role
• Demonstrates an organized approach to work.
• Demonstrates customer service abilities
• Routine administrative skills
• Good interpersonal skills, basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Demonstrates awareness of health and safety at work.
