TITLE: Information Technology Support Associate (ITSA)
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
Effective interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proficiency using current productivity and/or instructional software (Must pass a test).
Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting, setting up, and installing computer hardware and software (Must pass a test).
REPORTS TO: Principal in conjunction with Director of Technology
JOB GOAL: To provide effective leadership and support in the use of school technology
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works cooperatively with school and district personnel to maximize the effective use of instructional technology to increase student.
- Promotes the use of district-approved instructional software and instructional management system information to plan effective use of technology in the classroom and computer lab.
- Plan, test, and support all technology-enhanced learning spaces.
- Keeps current with educational research, trends, and best practices on instructional technology and shares with school and district personnel.
- Produces orders and maintains records and inventories of all computers, software, and related technologies.
- Maintains school webpage where requested.
- Manage lab calendars and ensure proper setup and preparation of resources for scheduled events and activities.
- Works with school administration to provide leadership and direction in ensuring adherence to all district policies and guidelines regarding the care and use of technology resources.
- Provide technical and logistical support and training for computer-based assessments and instructional software.
- Works with district instructional staff, technology staff, and school administrators and staff to maintain the security and integrity of the computer network.
- Acts as an on-site first responder to all technology support-related issues.
- Works cooperatively with computer technicians to diagnose and correct hardware and software issues.
- Forward associated helpdesk tickets to assigned computer technicians once they attempt a resolution and collect all required information related to the issue.
- Communicates effectively with school staff, students, parents, and administrators.
- Assists classroom teachers with effective classroom/lab management skills.
- Assists with creating an instructional environment that is conducive to learning.
- Participates in staff development programs.
- Be available to work to support events and conferences and to provide technical support. These events may sometimes be off-hours.
- Performs other duties as directed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 days. Salary is to be determined by the salary schedule
established by the Board. (ITSA salary schedule)
EVALUATION: The performance of the job will be evaluated annually by the Principal in collaboration with the Director of Technology.
