Duties And Responsibilities
- The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned.
- Serve as the point of contact for members, realtors, title companies and all areas related to Real Estate Lending,
- Provide unsurpassed support for both internal and/or external customers.
- Process all mortgages in a through, efficient and timely manner.
- Co-ordinate closings between The Member, Title Company and Realtor.
- Prepare and deliver accurate closing documents to title company in a timely manner.
- Deliver mortgages to secondary market in such a way as to prevent potential loss and
- Increase income.
- Ensure that documents to include mortgage note is delivered to secondary market in a timely manner in order to mitigate any loss to The Credit Union.
- Conduct Post closing activities on all files verifying completeness and accuracy of all data.
- Cross sell Meritrust products and services.
- Process mortgage loans; order and review title searches, title opinions, appraisals, flood certificates, credit reports and all other related documents necessary to ensure legal and procedural/policy compliance requirements are met.
- Satisfy any requirements mandated by The Loan Prospector Automated Underwriting System.
- Submit loan packet to underwriter for approval and clearing of all requirements.
- Clear all conditions required by underwriter as applicable.
- Prepare and obtain all closing documents for delivery to title company for closing, assuring Meritrust requirements are met.
- Work directly with Secondary Marketing Representative to lock rate for mandatory delivery to the Secondary Market.
- Conduct post closing activities on all secondary and portfolio files which includes, verifying for completeness and accuracy, execution of note assignment to investor.
- Contribute to the team effort to ensure Meritrust meets company-wide goals and the Strategic Plan annually.
- Provide quality member service by protecting confidential personal data.
- Present a positive image of the credit union through a professional appearance and courteous attitude.
- Excellent oral/written communication and problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualifications and Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two to four years member service experience
- One to three years mortgage-lending experience
