Job Description :
Messika is recruiting an extremely organized and creative individual with a passion for communications. Reporting to the Communications Director, you will support the department on all brand building initiatives for the Maison. The role will work on all topics related to communications – press, media, events, talents, influencers, etc. The role will support the department in achieving high quality results working cross-functionally with internal Marketing, Operations, Retail, Wholesale and Visual Merchandising teams, along with the global Communications team in Paris.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assists the Communications Director in implementing the annual press strategy and
calendar
• Supports in the day-to-day communication with relevant press contacts
• Drafts and proofreads brand communications i.e. invitation copy, client communications,
or press releases, etc.
• Manages the execution of all press loans relevant for the US and International Market
including but not limited to creating custom lookbooks, stock availability, insurance
approval and security needs
• Attends all High Jewelry photo shoots to ensure that the brand is respected, and the quality
of the piece(s) is maintained
• Generate and manage all press reports and recaps, i.e. monthly, special launches, etc.
• Ensures that all lookbooks are frequently updated and maintained showcasing the best
and priority pieces
• Maintains accurate archives for all press releases, asset kits, media alerts, etc.
• Maintains the overall media contact list ensuring that any departures or arrivals are noted
in a timely manner
• Fulfills all credit requests
• Assists in budget maintenance
• Coordinates giftings to editors, stylist and VIPs
• Assists in the support and execution of events
• Supports in any other tasks as directed by the Communications Director
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 1-3 years of experience in Luxury, Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing
within the US
• Strong communication and social skills
• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Professional, polished, and presentable
• Ability to be adaptable and agile
• Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented
• Ability to execute quality work with tight deadlines
• Thrives in a positive, fast-paced, energetic setting
• Non-traditional work hours including nights and weekends when necessary
• Occasional Domestic and International Travel required (Valid Passport Mandatory)
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
