Job Description:
Metal Technologies is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining our current quality system, reviewing customer quality requirements, and working with customers and suppliers to resolve concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customer meetings and follow up on customer rejects and concerns
- Perform scrap reviews and report findings using a standardized format
- Work on problem resolution teams and special projects such as launch teams and Six Sigma initiatives
- Assist in the training and development of hourly personnel on quality specifications
- Investigate product defects and recommend modifications to product, process, and quality standards
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers, and plant personnel
- Monitor performance of internal quality systems and report findings with recommendations
- Assist in the documentation and submission of PPAP for new and changed products
- Maintain the Corrective / Preventive Action System
- Implement Best Practice processes and procedures

- In-depth working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, DOE, SPC & 8D

- Proficient in GD&T and blueprint reading
- Working knowledge of quality systems, practices, and principles
