Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Operations Research Analyst to build and lead a team of analysts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in operational analysis, improving campaign modeling, and driving strategic decision-making through advanced analytical methods.
Role and Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of Operations Research Analysts. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Strategic Analysis: Develop and implement advanced analytical models to solve complex operational problems across domains.
- Long-Term Strategy Development: Identify and develop long-term strategies to enhance operational efficiency and support the company’s growth objectives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize statistical analysis, simulations, and optimization techniques to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and finance, to identify and address operational challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance analytical capabilities and methodologies continuously.
Skills and Experience
- Education: A master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent experience in operations research or a related field may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations research, campaign analysis, or wargaming with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with Multiple Models: Significant previous experience using GOTS or COTS models, including but not limited to: AFSIM, STORM, ESAMS, EADSIM, Command PE.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS), optimization tools (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi, OptDef, OptQuest), and programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and apply complex models to real-world scenarios.
- Wargaming: Experience designing, running, and adjudicating wargames focused on generating insights into future CONOPs, force structures, and novel challenges preferred.
- Campaign Analysis: Familiarity designing, developing, and performing campaign analysis across various theatres, domains, and force mixes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Salary : $112,800 - $133,400
