Job Description
Metrics LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Enterprise Architect as we compete for a contract in support of a transformative initiative for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This remote role is pivotal in assisting the VA's efforts to modernize, optimize, and integrate its operational strategies, enterprise business architecture, and workforce processes. The Enterprise Architect will contribute to the alignment of operational strategies with federal guidelines and VA's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive OAL Enterprise Architecture (EA) documentation in alignment with the Federal Enterprise Architecture Common Approach and OAL Operations Plans.
- Conduct and update OAL-wide EA documentation to reflect any significant organizational changes, ensuring compliance with operational views and end-to-end process models.
- Work closely with OAL focus groups to inform the charting of functions across OAL Component organizations such as APS, PPSO, SAMI, LSCM, and VAAA.
- Assess and document functional misalignments and competency gaps through comprehensive workforce evaluations.
- Deliver actionable recommendations for optimizing resource allocation and ensuring the alignment of roles with organizational objectives.
- Create and present Enterprise Architecture deliverables, including root cause analyses, capability reports, and action plans.
- Provide expert support in integrating EA processes with the VA s strategic goals, ensuring alignment with VA s Long-Range Plan and the Acquisition Management Program (AMP).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure EA strategies support OAL's goals of modernization, transformation, and improved service delivery.
- Ensure all EA documentation adheres to VA security, compliance, and privacy requirements.
- Actively engage in knowledge sharing and the transition of EA deliverables to VA leadership and staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Enterprise Architecture certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing Enterprise Architecture at the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) level.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Enterprise Architecture frameworks, operational views, and end-to-end process models.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with federal guidelines, including the Federal Enterprise Architecture Common Approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies.
- Knowledge of VA s Acquisition Management Program (AMP) and Long-Range Plan.
- Familiarity with VA's organizational structure and operations, particularly within OAL.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Experience with change management, governance structures, and strategic communications.
