Position Overview
They are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Coordinator to support virtual design and construction efforts. This role involves working closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure the accuracy of digital models and construction documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate virtual design and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes to enhance project planning and execution.
- Lead clash detection efforts, identifying and resolving design conflicts across architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align project designs and timelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design changes and project updates.
- Assist project management in reviewing scopes, timelines, and cost estimates using virtual models.
- Ensure all virtual design efforts comply with industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in virtual design coordination, BIM modeling, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
