Position Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and leading all recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Anticipate, prepare, and actively manage all phases of the recruitment process
  • Spearhead ongoing college recruiting process by developing and maintaining relationships with professors and career center representatives to create with a talent pool of students and alumni; organize semi-annual job fair participation
  • Collaborate with managers to identify hiring needs, create requisitions, obtain requisition approval, and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions
  • Research and identify efficient and effective recruiting methods, strategies, and sources based on the role and industry standards while ensuring an ongoing pipeline of top talent to fill positions at all levels in the organization
  • Process job postings on various websites and other recruitment sources
  • Screen candidates and enter information into database
  • Maintain necessary files including applications, interview documents, and other pertinent hiring documentation
  • Conduct initial phone screens and select qualified candidates to move forward in interview process
  • Manage interview process by preparing job-specific and behavioral-based interview questions, scheduling interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders, and attending interviews when applicable
  • Perform reference checks and complete background screenings
  • Collaborate with Human Resource staff to identify and recommend salary ranges
  • Prepare offer letter package and ensure that all applicable documentation is returned from candidate upon acceptance
  • Work with candidate and manager on all pre-employment activities including creating a comprehensive onboarding plan
  • Proactively recruit based on departmental labor plans and corporate strategic growth goals to build and sustain a high quality, diverse pipeline of candidates for current and future opportunities
  • Make deliberate, respectful decisions to drive firm goals
  • Coach managers on proper recruiting questions and techniques by asking questions and actively listening to provide guidance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations as well as company policies
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Act as Project Manager for various HR-related projects as necessary
  • Maintain exceptional internal and external client relations; uphold commitments
  • Achieve performance objectives and recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, cost per hire, etc.)
  • All other duties as assigned

KPIs

  • Onboarding 1.25 billable employees per month (15 total)
  • Onboarding 1 non-billable employee each quarter (4 total)
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and / or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Professional certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential)
  • Minimum five (5) years applicable experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to the corporate office as well as regional offices and career fairs
  • Excellent concentration and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams including technical and non-technical personnel
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, creative, and analytical thinker with the ability to make autonomous decisions
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectively
  • Dependable with strong planning, organization, preparation, and execution capabilities

  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation ranges between $75,000-$85,000 / annually, depending on experience.
  • Medical benefits package that includes medical & prescription coverage and dental plans for employees and their qualifying family members (eligible after 90 days of employment), which is 100% covered by the employer.
  • Retirement benefits including a 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match (eligible after 6 months of employment), which is 100% fully vested on day one.

  • Additional voluntary benefits (Accident, Critical Illness, Short-Term Disability, VSP, Life and AD&D) offered to eligible employees.
