Job Title: Experienced CNC Machinist (Mill or Lathe)
Aerospace/Energy precision machine shop (AS9100 and ISO9001 certified) is seeking experienced machinists for long term full-time direct hire employment for the afternoon shift. The Company has been in business for over 50 years.
Responsibilities Include:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes from standardized work instructions and verify that tooling fixtures and parts are properly loaded.
- Read drawings, job orders, and tooling instructions to ensure all components produced meet specifications using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Will be required to work with close tolerances (0.001) and have flexibility in operating either a CNC Lathe (2-axis) or CNC Mill (3-5 axis). Being able to hold tolerances of .001 is ideal.
- Perform routine machine maintenance per instructions.
- Monitor tool wear, change tools and inserts as required.
- Load, edit and verify NC programs (tool changes, offsets, knowledge of G-code, etc) and communicating information to process engineering.
- Will be working with Fanuc and HAAS controls.

Schedule:
- This position is an afternoon shift with 4 day/ 10 hour (Monday-Thursday).
- Over-time available.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 10 years machining experience, journeyman machinist or equivalent documentation.
- Solid understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques (in-process)
- Good work ethic and ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to handle large heavy parts as well as smaller components without assistance (up to 40 pounds)
- Must be detailed oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience within the Aerospace industry and super alloys (nickel based) is a plus.
- Manual lathe experience is a bonus.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to work over-time.
- Must be able to pass a shop math exam and pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
- Must be a U.S. Person.
