What are the responsibilities and job description for the PSA OMS Data Specialist position at METRO?
Basic Function
Responsible for assisting the Technical Business Supervisor in ensuring proper headcount levels are maintained. Performs a variety of data entry duties including research, document review, maintaining a variety of databases, and creating detailed reports and related charts / graphs or ad-hoc reports. Assists the Operations department and a multitude of divisions within the organization. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
Responsibilities and Specific Duties
- This is a temporary PSA job assignment not to exceed six (6) months in duration or $25,000 in total hourly wages during the six (6) month period.
- Works directly with the Technical Business Supervisor with headcount and technical data entry processes in a multitude of electronic databases for Operations Management Support.
- Inputs all open vacancies into the EPPF (Electronic Position Posting Form) System and reconciles each open job requisition or posting weekly utilizing the New Hire Orientation lists or internal Bid award processes.
- Responsible for reconciling the weekly ECF Database for OMS for accuracy and assuring it matches the headcount report at the end of the month.
Conducts quality checks of information and appropriate supporting documentation including Ad-Hoc reporting.
Pay Range : $26.11 - $32.60
Education Requirement
High school diploma or GED is required.
Years & Experience Required
Minimum three (3) years' experience in data entry or related experience. Experience using computer-generated reporting tools and / or programs.
Knowledge & Skills Required
This position relies heavily on data entry and databases. Must be able to utilize pivot tables and data analysis techniques for a multitude of technical and electronic systems. Familiarization with SharePoint, databases, pivot tables and business intelligence processes. Familiar with SAP enterprises including Maintenance, HR systems and budgeting. Understand union position processes and operations budgets. Multi-tasking and accuracy are a must.
