Job Summary
Metropolitan Community Services (MCS) has a Direct Support Professional (DSP) position to fill immediately. The client is a female looking for a female DSP (IHS with training) at 3 hours/week in the Excelsior area. The client would like a DSP for 1 x week, preferably in the afternoon. Flexible on the day of the week that she meets with DSP.
3 hours IHS w/ training. 3 hours homemaking (cleaning only). 6 hours total per week.
Duties:
- Help advocate and communicate with her housing management
- Assist with paperwork from the county
- Assist with finding local karate classes and registering for competitions
- Help learning budgeting skills
- Assist with maintaining mental health symptoms
- support with other independent living skills
- light cleaning
Requirements:
- English-speaker
- Calm demeanor
- Experience with mental health
- Experience as a DSP
- Pass a background check
- Communication skills
Additional Details:

- All hired DSP's will be provided training that is available online.
- MCS doesn't reimburse for mileage at this time.
- MCS is a non-profit organization.
** Also have homemaking with cleaning only hours for the same client at 3 hrs/ week. Applicants can also apply for that as well. It pays 22.00/hr
