We are now hiring a full-time Field Manager to join our Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) Team!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serves as an instructor in the Metropolitan Peace Academy.
- Provide technical assistance to street outreach workers in the field.
- Advise outreach workers on violence intervention and reduction strategies, and use of data to identify hot spots and highest risk individuals.
- Co-facilitate periodic case review meetings with outreach teams and be available for one-on-one consultation to ensure effective use of best practices within the field of street outreach.
- Uses outcome data to inform the outreach practice
- Facilitate and manage relationship with a broad array of stakeholders including community-based organizations, gang intervention leaders, law enforcement, academics and other subject matter experts.
- Actively participate in forums, meetings and strategy session with community members and key stakeholders.
- Prepare materials and reports for meetings with program partners.
- Develop program reports and policy briefs to support the MPI work.
- Participate in cross agency planning, development and communication activities as needed. Ensure adherence to program goals and policies within the project area.
- Works with data and evaluation team as well as research partners to manage process of selecting metrics, key performance indicators, data collection and tracking mechanisms.
- Responsible for providing content and messaging for the funders supporting the Metropolitan Peace Initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 to 7 years of experience of successful street outreach work, required.
- Significant experience working with high-risk, street-involved individuals, preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Firsthand knowledge of the community and knowledge of current street conflicts required.
- Employment with MFS requires proof of vaccination or an approved Medical exemption, required.
- Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver's license and proof of insurance to perform essential job functions, required.
- Experience or training in crisis intervention preferred.
- Preferably a graduate of the Metropolitan Peace Academy.
- Willingness to learn and commit to the principles of nonviolence, restorative justice and trauma-informed practices
- Experience working on a team.
- No pending criminal cases or prior convictions for sexual assault, child abuse or domestic violence.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- MFS staff are required to provide proof of vaccination or have an approved Medical exemption prior to starting employment. If an approved Medical exemption is obtained, weekly testing is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
SALARY:
- Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The average salary for the position is $61,000.
