This is a Full-time, Non-Civil Service position with the Metropolitan Action Commission. Position includes medical, dental, pension, and insurance benefits. This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation and distribution of breakfast and lunch each school day; understanding nutritional needs of (disadvantaged) children and development of children and child care concepts.Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Ensure all dish machines, sinks, mops and buckets are properly cleaned dailyEnsure dish machine area is properly cleaned, sanitized and organized dailyPlace racks, mats and dish carts in designated areas at completion of shiftMonitor and report equipment malfunctionsProperly wash and sanitize all pots, pans, plates, platters, bowls, serving utensils and flatware that is used dailyProvide accurate distribution of plates, platters, bowls, serving utensils and flatwareProvide accurate distribution of containers and foodPlace distribution containers with above named items in transportation vehicle just prior to the end of the daily shiftPlace breakfast supplies in the vehicle just prior to the end of the daily shift for next day distributionPlace lunch items in the “prep” area just prior to the end of the daily shiftIn and Out record Sheet must be completed when drivers arrive and departUnderstand menus and recipesAttend and/or assist with all required meetings, as requestedMaintain high standards of sanitation in kitchen and serving areasReport any vehicle abuse, scratched, broken parts and unnecessary abuse of transportation vehiclesKeep area organized and clutter freeInform supervisor of chemical and small equipment inventoryAssist in special events as requiredPerform duties as instructed by supervisorDemonstrate positive and professional work habitsAssume other job related duties as requested
