What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unmanned Systems Business Development position at MFE Inspection Solutions?
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, dynamic Unmanned Systems Business Development person to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in unmanned systems, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for driving business growth in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Western USA region, with a focus on growing MFE Inspection Solutions' market share in the unmanned systems industry
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within target markets, including Oil & Gas, Energy, Infrastructure, Mining and others
- Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory authorities
- Present product demonstrations and technical presentations to clients and industry events
- Collaborate with the internal product development and engineering teams to provide market feedback and insights to drive continuous product improvement
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, providing accurate and timely sales forecasts to management
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent MFE Inspection Solutions and stay current on industry developments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the unmanned systems or inspection solutions industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the unmanned systems market, including industry trends, regulations, and key players
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the Western USA region
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) systems and their applications
- Existing network of industry contacts within the target markets
