What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Facilitator position at MFI Recovery Center?
SUMMARY OF MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Group Facilitator is responsible for providing group therapy to clients. The Group Facilitator will deliver person-centered, culturally-responsive, trauma-informed services for individuals with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. Interventions delivered will include, but not limited to psychoeducational groups, skill building, recovery skills, relapse prevention, and co-occurring disorders. Facilitator is responsible for managing and delivering group content, maintaining client documentation and meeting funder requirements for service delivery.
DUTIES:
1. Facilitate a wide array of substance use and mental health-oriented groups
2. Utilize motivational enhancement and engagement strategies appropriate to the individual’s stage of readiness and desire to change
3. Input all clinical documentation in Connecticut Renaissance’s EHR accurately and timely
4. Communicate with treatment team on the status of each client’s progress and performance within the program
5. Participate in all required internal and external meetings
6. Provide urinalysis/breathalyzer testing when indicated and within guidelines of monitoring
7. Attend all required trainings to enhance knowledge and skill level
8. Adhere to licensing, accreditation and funding source requirements
9. Assist with the development of group content
10. Assist with daily residential tasks including but not limited to head-count, tours, medication monitoring, log book maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, or Human Services
2. Minimum of 3 years of working experience in behavioral health field
3. Experience in trauma informed care preferred
4. Experience with substance abuse clients, co-occurring diagnosed clients preferred
5. CPR/First Aid Certified
6. Must have CADC or SUDCC

· Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance
· Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
· Negative tuberculosis test
· Pass drug screening test
