What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle - Revenue Analyst position at MFS Talent?
Shift : Day - 8 hours, 40hrs / week-Work location : Remote, Palo Alto, CA-Compensation : $30 to $40 per hourDuties and Responsibilities-Performs detailed analysis of financial and revenue cycle performance to identify trends, patterns, and root causes.-Completes regular root cause analysis of relevant financial transactions for assigned departments.-Monitors key performance indicators for assigned areas and explores reasons for performance fluctuation and deterioration.-Prepares summary findings of analysis for department leadership review.-Examines historical and projected financial data to provide stakeholders with valuable information upon which to make operational decisions.-Utilizes a strong understanding of revenue cycle applications, operational workflows, and regulatory policies to assist in analytic evaluations.-Cultivates internal relationships to assist in understanding department workflows.-Engages regularly with revenue cycle managers and directors on improvement opportunities identified through data analysis.-Analyzes, prepares, and coordinates distribution of various financial reports for internal Revenue Cycle use and as required for external constituents.-Maintains various financial databases and records for the reporting of financial data.-Develops and manipulates large data sets.-Provides analytics for and supports special projects as needed.Education Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. RequiredExperience-Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.-Prior experience in revenue management, patient financial services and / or health information systems preferred-1-2 years of statistical analysis experience.-1-2 years Hospital Billing experience.Licenses and Certifications-HFMA - Certified Rev Cycle Rep (CRCR) preferredBenefits-Health / Dental / Vision Insurance-Sick time off
