The Business Development Manager will support the development and execution of the strategic sales plant to achieve business revenue goals. This position will prospect, identify and develop new business prospects and new markets, working closely with all departments to identify capabilities and capacity needed to support business plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Excellence
Responsible for building an active and relevant funnel of open opportunities to facilitate.- Partner with all departments to identify opportunities to optimize functional efficiencies.
- Prospect for potential clients and convert them into increased business opportunities.
- Recognize opportunities for distribution channels, services, and campaigns that will result in sales.
- Research and cultivate an accurate perception of the organization’s mission and goals.
- Forecast sales objectives and ensure they are fulfilled.
- Submit and ensure data is accurate on determined progress reports.
- Attending industry functions, including conferences and association events, and contributing information and feedback on upcoming market trends.
Customer Experience
- Regularly evaluate service levels and drive superior customer service, solicit feedback directly from customers
- Investigate customer issues and follow problems through to resolution to prevent reoccurring issues.
- Engage internal and external contacts.
- Present new products and services to improve existing relationships.
Sales Support
- Communicate price changes to customers as directed.
- Assist with new customer setup.
- Monitor customer order patterns and provide feedback on significant changes and trends.
- Coordinate sample requests and prototype delivery to customers
Other
- Travels up to 30% of the time
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field- 3-5 years of marketing or sales experience
- Excellent communication and IT fluency
- Ability to handle pressures and meet deadlines.
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge of the industry and current events
- Ability to provide leadership skills to a large team of salespeople.
EXPERIENCE:
- Strong financial skills
- Experience managing sales and marketing functions.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and business systems software.
