THE STARTING RATE: $24.6664 plus tips
The Day-to-day
- Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
- Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
- Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
- Ring beverages that are poured or served, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
- Provide apprentice bartender and bar porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service, and bartending
- Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar
- At least one year of experience in food and beverage industry within nightclub, restaurant bar, lounge, or entertainment venue settings
- Two years of experience as bar back, bar apprentice or bartender
- Familiarity of wine, liquor, spirits, and beer varieties, including craft beer
- Experience with InfoGenesis point-of-sale system
- Prior experience working in a similar resort or high-volume setting
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
