THE JOB:
Step into the excitement as a Luxor Mutuel Clerk and be at the center of the action! Help guests place wagers on thrilling events from around the world, all while providing top-notch service and upholding the highest standards of Luxor’s renowned hospitality.
STARTING RATE: $17/hour plus tips
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Payment Processing & Compliance: Accurately write, verify, and process payments for race and sports wagers, ensuring strict adherence to departmental policies and applicable gaming regulations.
Cash Handling & Bank Management: Maintain an assigned cash bank, process payments, provide correct change, and reconcile funds according to established cash-handling procedures.
Customer Assistance: Clearly explain wagering rules, betting lines, and odds to guests, and assist in creating and entering player tracking cards for loyalty programs.
Accurate Ticket Verification: Verify and process payments for winning tickets promptly and accurately, ensuring proper payoffs.
Station Stocking & Maintenance: Keep cashier stations well-stocked with supplies and maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
Issue Reporting & Security: Notify management of escalated guest issues, prevalent concerns, or suspicious activities, while ensuring customer rewards and credit policies are properly safeguarded.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Availability: Must be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Cash Handling Expertise: Candidates with proven experience managing cash accurately in fast-paced environments are preferred.
Customer Service Background: Strong front-facing customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and effectively resolving concerns.
Hospitality Experience: Previous work in a resort, hotel, or similar hospitality setting is preferred, showcasing the ability to manage high guest volumes and uphold exceptional service standards.
Bilingual Abilities: Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, enhancing communication and guest service quality.
