Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, tire services, and diesel engine repairs.
- Conduct auto estimating for repairs and maintenance services, ensuring accurate assessments for customers.
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in the service area.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in automotive repair and customer interaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency within the service department.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes including air brake systems, oil changes, tire services, and diesel engine repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
- Proficient in auto estimating software and tools used in the automotive repair industry.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Certification as a mechanic or service technician is preferred but not mandatory.
