Fishman Footcare, operated by Dr. Michael Fishman, D.P.M, is a busy Podiatry office that is dedicated to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a detail-orientated and organized Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant to join our team. This position will work directly with our provider to maintain accurate medical documentation and deliver compassionate patient care.
Job Description:
As a Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant at our office, you will play an integral role in maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to patient confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately document the physician’s notes during patient visits, including the medical history, treatment plans, and other relevant clinical data.
- Take and record vital signs for each patient, including temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and other relevant measures.
- Document patient medical history, surgical records, capture clinical data including lab and imaging results, and any changes in patients medical status.
- Ensure that the doctor's treatment plans, diagnoses, and notes are recorded accurately in the patient’s file, and is documented up to standard in order to reduce the doctor's clerical workload and optimize patient care time.
- Support other staff as needed. Duties may include cleaning exam rooms, assisting the provider during an exam or procedure, perform administrative duties such as answering and triaging phone calls, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or similar medical role is preferred.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Experience with NextGen Office EHR systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient typing skills with the ability to accurately transcribe information clearly and accurately.

Hourly Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 dependent on experience.
Expected Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Wednesday: 8:00 - 12:00PM
