You demonstrate a passion for the brand, love learning, and accomplishing goals What You’ll Do: Importing existing 3D files from factories and converting from tri geometry to quad geometry. A good eye for proportions and details Cutting UVs, and organizing these files in our database Archive maintenance per department standards Importing scan files and work with Lead Scan Technician to clean up the files Converting high poly files to Real Time ready, reducing point count, back-faces, hidden parts, etc Working within hi-lo workflow (displacement map generation) to ensure functionality in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) for Virtual Showroom (VSR), and Product Configurator (PC). This includes converting stitching, and some parts to displacement maps that can be recolored Loading materials and assets into UE5, and making necessary adjustments (camera, lights, positions, etc) Adding 3D Assets in proper grouping for PC Assigning Materials for PC Adjusting or generating material maps using Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator or Substance Suite) Texturing and recoloring factory assets, and models completed by Asset Artists, and rendering in Arnold You’ll Need to Have: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Graphics, Accessories or Technical Design 1-3 years of experience as an Asset Artist (Model/Texture/Surface) in a VFX Production, Game Development or 3D Fashion Design Environment Working experience in Maya, Zbrush, and/or Substance Suite Proficient in creating both organic and hard surface models with efficient topology Understanding, rendering, and current technologies Strong time management skills and the ability to balance priorities under the pressure of a deadline-driven design calendar Strong communication and organizational skills The ability to take direction and implement feedback with a positive attitude An approachable, proactive, accommodating attitude, and an ability to follow instructions Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment Ability to work in NYC 3-4 days a week MK Perks: Generous Paid Time Off & Holiday Schedule Summer Fridays Internal mobility across Capri Brands (Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Versace) Cross-brand Discount Exclusive Employee Sales Fav 5 Cards (MK Discount for friends and family) 401k Match Paid Parental Leave Thrive Wellness Program (seasonal in-office massages and more!)
