My client is an Indianapolis local contractor that has an expansive pipeline across the Indiana market. With 3 offices they continue to grow and leave there mark on not only civil and wastewater projects, but also industrial and commercial. They have a massive pipeline and plans to grow to an over $500M company in the next 2 years. With that comes hiring and they are looking to bring on a talented Superintendent. Description

The Superintendent will:

  • Project Oversight: Lead and supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects adhere to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction site and project stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of materials, equipment, and labor to optimize project efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope.

Profile

The successful Superintendent will have:

  • 10 years of civil construction experience required
  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and coordinate construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.

  • Project Management: Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and overseeing project progress to ensure timely and within-budget completion.

  • Safety Compliance: In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. A strong emphasis on safety is a core value of this firm
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients, engineers, and team members, facilitating clear understanding and collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to identify issues proactively and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD) and understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under pressure to meet deadlines and project goals

Job Offer

On offer for the Superintendent:

  • Base salary between $130-150K
  • Company vehicle or allowance
